German company OWS Off-Shore Wind Solutions has sold its Ocean Zephyr DP2 walk-to-work vessel to Danish outfit A1 Offshore Solutions.
The sale, which was facilitated by GRS Global Renewables Shipbrokers, took place on 24 March.
The vessel will continue a charter for a German wind farm under its new owners.
Ocean Zephyr is the first DP2 walk-to-work ship in A1 Offshore Solutions’ fleet.
It has been booked for work over the summer season for the next five years, but will be made available to other interested charterers during winter, spring and autumn.
A1 Offshore Solutions managing director Tom Nielsen said: “This purchase is part of our response to our customer’s demands for more high quality Walk-to-Work vessels.”
