UK engineering outfit Manor Renewable Energy is expanding its teams in the UK and across Europe due to increasing demand for its services.
The company plans to increase its staff to over 100 employees by the third quarter of the year, it said.
Manor provides vessels, engineering technicians and bespoke generators for offshore renewable energy projects.
It has taken its new 26-metre Manor Venture vessel to the water for the first time this month.
The 26-metre boat will spend most of the year working for Siemens on the 336MW Galloper wind farm off the UK’s east coast.
“For this vessel to be built in the UK was hugely important for us,” Manor director Eric Briar said.
“This is a vessel that will be able to work anywhere in Europe and has the capability to stay offshore, on the next generation of wind farm projects, for prolonged periods.”
