Offshore wind marking and lighting solutions provider Sabik Offshore has acquired Weissenborn.
Weissenborn designs and manufactures aluminium solutions for transition pieces (TPs), suspended internal structures and substations in the offshore wind industry.
Prioritising low product weight and ease of assembly, its products have best in-class environmental impact and contribute to global climate goals, Sabik said.
Sabik Offshore managing director Morten Christensen said: “As one of the oldest companies in Vejle, Denmark, Weissenborn is a highly respected firm, and has established an excellent reputation in the offshore wind industry over recent years.
“The cultures of our two businesses complement each other well and we look forward to adding value for customers by leveraging the combination of railing design and component integration.”
Peter Møller, who will continue to lead Weissenborn and join the management team of Sabik Offshore added: “We’re delighted to have joined the Sabik Offshore family.
“This strategic move will allow us to better serve our customers globally, and we look forward to creating innovative solutions with the integration of lighting and marking components on our railings.
“Our shared customers are looking for solutions that reduce interfaces, and that’s something we can offer, providing a more efficient and cost-effective customer experience.”
