The Bureau of Ocean Energy Management and local officials are engaging with the Intergovernmental Renewable Energy Task Force for the work.

Studies will focus on waters off the southern part of the state where the wind resource is strongest, said BOEM.
The task force, which includes federal, state and local agency representatives, will hold a meeting on 27 September to highlight the work.
Updates on BOEM activities and leasing will be given.
Oregon is one of a number of west coast US states looking into the sector and are likely to feature mainly floating offshore projects.
