Orsted has awarded the contract to supply its 2600MW Hornsea 4 offshore wind farm with ultra-high voltage power equipment to Hyosung Heavy Industries.
The agreement is subject to the UK project reaching FID, which Orsted anticipates achieving in around 18 months, with a goal of commissioning the site in 2030.

It will see the South Korean company supplying 400kV ultra-high voltage transformers and reactors.
The project was consented in 2023 and was awarded a contract for difference in September.
The UK government has awarded planning permission to Orsted for the 2600MW Hornsea 4 wind farm off east England.
Orsted is planning up to 180 turbines at the site 69km off Yorkshire.
