Orsted has begun formal community consultations for its Hornsea Project Four off the east coast of England.
The developer is inviting local residents to give their feedback on its plans for the development and said it has identified an 600 kilometre site for the up-to-180 turbine project.
“We’d encourage any interested individuals and groups to attend the events so they can better understand what is being proposed and the project team can capture their thoughts and comments,” Orsted project development manager Jamie Baldwin said.
Four information events will be held where locals can see the project proposals and talk to the developer about the project plans.
The first event will be held at Barmston and Fraisthorpe Village Hall on 2 September between 2pm and 8pm.
A second event will be held at Lockington Village Hall on 3 September and a third at Cottingham Civic Hall the following day. Both events will run between 2pm and 8pm.
A final meeting will be held between 10.30am and 4pm on 7 September at Foston-on-the-Wolds Village Hall.
The community consultation phase runs from 13 August and 23 September and the developer has created a web portal where interested parties can leave feedback.
