Orsted has hired a construction support vessel from Norwegian company Solstad Offshore for work on the 900MW Greater Changhua 1&2a offshore wind farm complex in Taiwan.
The Normand Jarl CSV will be provided for the work for 15 months, with options to extend the contract five times for one month each.

Solstad Offshore said the contract will start during the second quarter of 2021.
Solstad Offshore chief executive Lars Peder Solstad said: “It is very encouraging, within a short time, to announce our second contract within offshore wind in Taiwan.
“Orsted is one of the main players in this industry and we are proud to have been selected as their partner on this project.”
