Orsted has revealed that there are fewer than 10 turbines left to install at its 900MW Greater Changhua 1 and 2a offshore wind project in Taiwan.
With more than 100 wind turbines installed so far, Greater Changhua 1 & 2a is the largest offshore wind project in Taiwan and Orsted’s first large-scale offshore wind farm in the Asia-Pacific region.

The project is located 35km to 60km off the coast of Changhua County.
Once completed, the wind farm will significantly support the island’s fast-track build-out of renewables and provide the green energy much needed by export industries and by Taiwan to achieve its net-zero goal, Orsted said.
