Swire Blue Ocean jack-up vessel Pacific Orca has arrived at the port of Great Yarmouth to support turbine installation at the 336MW Galloper offshore wind farm off the Suffolk coast.
The vessel was kitted out with 850 tonnes of sea-fastening equipment and extra technical equipment at Esbjerg in Denmark, ahead of arrival in Great Yarmouth.
Galloper will consist of 56 Siemens 6MW turbines and is scheduled to start operating in March 2018.
The wind farm is being developed by a joint equity partnership between Innogy UK, UK Green Investment Bank, Siemens Financial Services, Macquarie Capital and Sumitomo Corp.
