SMC, SeaRenergy and Con4Mare have joined forces to form a one-stop shop for the offshore wind sector.
The companies will provide transport and installation services, engineering, marine consultancy, marine warranty surveys and offshore specialists.
SMC’s experience is in the UK, while SeaRenergy’s and Con4Mare’s experience is in the German sector.
SMC has provided marine coordination service for nine offshore wind projects and has designed a bespoke system called Atlas to manage vessels and personnel.
SeaRenergy will expand its services to include project engineering and consultancy.
SeaRenergy’s expertise is in planning, engineering and transport and installation, while Con4Mare is a provider of marine warranty survey and engineering services.
It will broaden its services to include coordination and consultancy, as well as management of Atlas in Germany.
All three companies will remain independent but will offer their services through other in the respective country.
SMC managing director Ian Coates said: “Combining both German and British aspects, especially regarding engineering and marine warranty survey, we are confident that our cooperation gives us a stronger position in the British market.”
