Friede & Goldman and OIM Wind have unveiled their new FO-146 Wind Turbine Installation Vessel (WTIV).
It is based on F&G’s WindSetter Class WTIVs and is the result of a collaboration between the two companies.
The FO-146’s hull can accommodate up to five 18MW or four 20MW wind turbine sets, including their full height towers, on its main deck.
It has a water depth capacity of 80 metres and with a state-of-the-art 3200 metric tonnes SWL leg encircling crane with the reach and capacity to install XXL foundations exceeding 3000 metric tonnes.
