Energia Wind 2020 has applied to the Italian government for a 30-year concession to build a 330MW offshore wind farm in the Adriatic Sea.
The Rimini offshore wind farm would comprise up to 59 turbines, of which 58 would have capacity of 5.6MW and one machine 5.2MW, on monopile foundations.

Rimini would be installed over a 114 square-kilometre area in a stretch of sea pertaining to the Port Authority of Rimini and off the coasts of the municipalities of Rimini, Riccione, Misano Adriatico and Cattolica.
The wind farm would also feature two offshore substations, covering 178.8MW and and 151.2MW each of the project’s capacity.
Two export cables would connect the project to the land, which is expected to be at Bellariva di Rimini.
