Prysmian Group has won contracts for inter-array cabling at the 396MW Merkur and 406.7MW Horns Rev 3 offshore wind farms in the North Sea.
DEME company Tideway awarded Prysmian the contract for the Merkur project in the German North Sea.
The Italian company will be responsible for the design, engineering, manufacturing, testing and supply of approximately 90km of 33kV submarine inter-array cables and related accessories.
VBMS hired Prysmian for the work on the Horns Rev 3 wind farm, which will be located off the coast of Denmark.
The job will involve the design and supply of more than 100km of 33kV submarine inter-array cables in various cross sections, Prysmian said.
Prysmian Group sales team manager for offshore wind Alessandro Panico said: “These two new important awards confirm the market recognition of the significant investments made in our production capabilities for the specific inter-array market segment as well as in our improved project management skills aimed at offering global project solutions to our customers.”
