Ramboll has won a multi-year technical advisory services deal with Polish offshore wind developer PGE Baltica.
The consultant said it will provide wide-ranging support for the company’s 7GW offshore wind farm portfolio in the Baltic Sea.
Ramboll’s support will cover every aspect of offshore wind farm progression, ensuring technical robustness, financial efficiency, and secure operation throughout the lifecycle of the projects, it said.
PGE Baltica is responsible for implementing the PGE Group’s offshore programme, including development of the 2.5GW Baltica wind farm off Poland.
After 2030, the 900MW Baltica 1 will join the group’s portfolio.
“Thanks to new seabed areas acquired in the Baltic Sea the PGE Group will be able to develop further offshore wind projects by 2040,” said Ramboll.
“With a growing local presence in Poland and with offices in Warsaw and Gdynia right at the coast of the Baltic Sea, Ramboll has been able to significantly expand its operations within the region.
“Ramboll holds substantial experience and engagement in numerous contemporary offshore wind projects in the Polish Baltic Sea, delivering a range of engineering and advisory services.”
