RES assisted Hexicon with the scoping report for the Dounreay Trì floating wind demonstration project.
Since October 2014, RES has provided site selection, development, wind analysis and metocean services in support of the project.
The scoping report is now at the pre-application stage with Marine Scotland and the project is planned to be operational by the summer of 2018.
Dounreay Trì project director Marcus Thor said: “RES have helped drive our project forward.
“The submission of the scoping report marks the start of the planning process for Dounreay Tri. Reaching this first milestone is testament to RES’ professionalism, knowledge and credibility.”
