Castrol has set up a joint venture with Romax Technology’s InSight business to boost the wind turbine predictive maintenance business.
Lubrication provider Castrol has 30 years’ experience in the wind sector and will combined with Romax InSight’s expertise in predictive maintenance, software and data analytics for turbines.
Castrol said it has supported the development of several digital solutions to complement its core lubricants business in the last two years, such as GreenSteam, a data analytics company specialising in fuel saving solutions for the marine industry.
Romax Technology chief executive Andy Poon said: “We’re always looking at ways to drive innovation at Romax.
“We are delighted to find in Castrol a partner who shares this vision and can provide a platform for growth.”
