Rosslare Europort has lodged a planning application with An Coimisiún Pleanála to develop what it describes as Ireland’s largest port infrastructure to support offshore renewable energy projects in the Irish and Celtic Seas.
The port said the project will act as a catalyst for a Southeast Harbour ORE Economic Region that will create jobs, drive economic activity and enable future green energy independence.
It added that it recently delivered the second largest civil construction project in the country on budget and on time and aims to deliver the new development in the same way.
