RWE has successfully concluded emergency drills at the 295MW Nordsee Ost wind farm in the German North Sea.
During the operation, the RWE team rescued an injured staff member with a simulated circular arrest from a crew transfer vessel (CTV).
The emergency drills scenario involved telemedicine-supported first aid and a hoist operation bringing an emergency doctor on board the CTV.
The patient was handed over to the helicopter rescue team in less than 60 minutes, RWE said.
RWE cooperates with Rastede-based Offshore Response and Safety, Wiking Helikopter Service and ADAC Luftrettung on emergency issues.
