The public consultation for the up to 850MW Dublin Array offshore wind project has been extended.
Dublin Array is an offshore wind farm that RWE is proposing on the Kish and Bray Banks, approximately 10km from the coastline of counties Dublin and Wicklow which will deliver 700MW to 850MW of clean, renewable electricity via 39 to 50 turbines.
Following the seven in-person public consultation events held at five locations around Dublin and Wicklow in the last seven weeks, the Dublin Array team have decided to add an extra event to give residents one last opportunity to view the consultation information in person.
The event will be open to the public on Wednesday 29 March 2023 at the Marine Hotel, Sutton, County Dublin.
The developer is also extending the date of its virtual consultation room, which it launched on 30 January, to 31 March.
Head of Offshore Development Ireland with RWE Peter Lefroy said: “I am delighted to be extending our consultation period to give members of the public more time to access our most up-to-date project information, including our visualisation tool, and allowing us to have a meaningful exchange of information with local communities.
“Dublin Array is a vital project in Ireland’s move towards a low carbon energy system and we look forward to continuing our engagement with local communities.”
