RWE has completed geophysical and environmental surveys for the 1600MW Sodra Midsjobanken offshore wind farm off Sweden.
The German energy company said the work was completed together with Dutch contractor N-Sea Group and the Hydrograf vessel, despite some “tough winter conditions in the Baltic Sea”.
Both the offshore site and cable corridors were surveyed during the offshore campaign, RWE said.
N-Sea project manager James Metcalf said that the success factors have been “the excellent teamwork and high-level professionalism shown by all those onboard”.
He said: “The crew have safely and efficiently completed many complex tasks in the face of harsh autumn weather and acquired some excellent data.”
RWE project manager Anton Andersson said: “We are very pleased with the work performed.
“We will now use the data collected at site to continue the permitting process and further development of the project in close dialogue with all relevant stakeholders.”
