Danish engineering firm Scanel International has launched a new renewables arm to help ramp up the global energy transition.
Scanel Green Energy will provide electrical engineering services to a range of renewable projects in wind, solar, power-to-x, EV charging stations, biomass, and storage.
The newly formed entity is led by wind industry veteran and technology leader, Torben Hvid Larsen (pictured, far right), formerly of Vestas Wind Systems, MHI Vestas Offshore Wind, and Corio Generation and is based in Aalborg, Denmark.
“Scanel Green Energy will support the energy transition long-term. We are here to stay. Our focus will be on delivering maximum value for each project, and doing it safely,” said Larsen.
“Because of our experienced people, we can offer a unique blend of expertise, reliability, and ingenuity – this means we will always be pushing the boundaries to deliver at an industrial scale without ever compromising on quality, health and safety.”
The new venture has got off to a strong start already active on projects with industrial heavyweights Bladt Industries and Aarsleff in the US and UK.
Scanel Green Energy has also recently opened a UK subsidiary and is eyeing further global expansion as the demand for its engineering services accelerates.
Larsen continued: “We have been hard at work behind the scenes the past few months and are set to reveal in the coming weeks a visionary strategy – a program that will allow us to deliver our engineering expertise at scale to support the industrialization of the renewable energy sector.”
