SeaRoc Group is to deploy two SeaHub communication containers during construction of Dong Energy’s 1.2GW Hornsea 1 wind farm off the Yorkshire coast.
SeaHub is an unmanned containerised communications system that enables voice and data communications and tracking of personnel, vessels, helicopters and equipment for offshore projects.
The container also contains autonomous safety systems, such as fire suppression and temperature control, all of which are monitored using SeaRoc’s SeaPlanner marine management software.
The systems will be delivered in the fourth quarter of 2017.
SeaRoc Group has already provided four SeaHub units to Dong for the 573MW Race Bank and 660MW Walney 3 offshore wind farms.
