The second substation for Dong Energy’s 573MW Race Bank wind farm in the UK North Sea has been loaded out in Hoboken, Belgium.
The topside and the jacket, fabricated by Engie Fabricom and Iemants, will be installed by Seaway Heavy Lifting (SHL) later this quarter.
SHL installed the first substation for the offshore wind project off the Norfolk coast last August.
Race Bank will feature 91 Siemens 6.3MW turbines and is scheduled to come online next year.
Dong and Macquarie each own 50% of the wind farm.
