Semco Maritime is to open a new office in Gdynia in Poland with 15-20 specialised employees before the end of 2021.
The Polish organisation will be an integrated part of the group’s international project teams and support the growth within renewable energy projects internationally and in Poland, the company said.
“Local presence is crucial for Semco Maritime’s ability to tender for these projects and establish a strong network in the region where many collaborators and customers are already represented,” it added.
Semco Maritime senior vice president of renewables Jacob Obo Sorensen said: “Demand for our competencies and highly qualified employees with experience within renewable energy projects is increasing steadily these years, and we will strengthen our offering to the customers with the establishment of a strong organisation in Poland where the energy industry is developing at a rapid pace.
“We look forward to welcoming highly qualified employees with focus on green energy projects to our Polish office.”
Semco Maritime said that for several years it has been working closely together with a Polish partner Electro Team Partners, which will be handling the recruitment and administration of new employees in the Polish joint venture organisation.
