Semcon has signed a framework agreement with Dong Energy for consultancy services on the developer’s German offshore wind power business.
The agreement is focused on supporting construction, commissioning and operations of assets in the North Sea.
Dong operates the 312MW Borkum Riffgrund 1 wind farm (pictured) and is currently building the 582MW Gode Wind 1 and 2 wind farms, slated to be commissioned in the second half of 2016.
The developer also holds the project rights of the Borkum Riffgrund West 1 and 2 wind farms as well as the OWP West project, all located north of Borkum island.
“Our expertise from various industries will join together in providing an exciting approach to this assignment,” said Semcon.
“We will be helping with project and quality management gained from the auto industry, along with experienced consultants from the offshore and energy sectors.”
