Senvion has entered the race to acquire the French offshore turbine company Adwen and is said to be preparing a bid.
Reuters is reporting that the German outfit has joined GE in mulling a takeover move for the Areva-Gamesa JV. The news agency cited sources familiar with the process.
Areva is running a sale in an agreement reached with Gamesa’s under the terms of the Spanish company’s merger with rival turbine company Siemens.
The French company said it also has the option of offering its stake to Gamesa with a final decision due in September.
Reuters said Vestas has no interest in Adwen.
