Senvion has signed an agreement with Buss Group’s Orange Blue Terminal in Eemshaven to handle turbine components for the 332MW Nordsee 1 wind farm in the German North Sea.
Buss said the agreement covers all upstream services at the Dutch terminal, including planning, transport, interim storage, pre-assembly and delivery of the components to the quayside.
It said from February next year, 378 main components – blades, nacelles and tower sections – will start arriving at the terminal.
About 80 square metres of the terminal’s 250-square-metre site will be used for the Senvion hardware, the company added.
Buss will pre-assemble the rotor stars at the storage facility, while the 65-metre towers will be set up directly at the quay edge ready to be loaded on to the installation vessel.
Nordsee 1 will comprise 54 Senvion 6.2M126 turbines, which will be installed starting in spring next year.
