Renewables consultancy SgurrEnergy is to provide construction and operations monitoring at the 573MW Race Bank offshore wind farm off the Norfolk coast in the UK.
The work will include regular monitoring of construction and installation, checking progress and confirming consistency with the final design and undertaking site visits to factories and the project site.
The operations monitoring will cover a 15-year period, Sgurr said.
Race Bank will comprise 91 Siemens 6.3MW turbines and is expected to be in operation by early 2018.
The consultancy also helped bring the project to financial close for Firebolt RB Holdings, which is the investment holding company owned by Macquarie Capital and Macquarie European Infrastructure Fund 5.
The investment arm of Macquarie owns 50% of Race Bank, with Dong Energy owning the other 50%.
