Bilfinger Salamis UK has secured a £1m contract for coating repair services on Statoil’s 317MW Sheringham Shoal offshore wind farm off the north Norfolk coast of the UK.
The company said it will supply surface preparation, coating application and inspection services, utilising rope access teams to carry out the maintenance activities.
The three-year job will be managed out of Great Yarmouth, creating five new jobs, Bilfinger said.
Bilfinger Salamis UK managing director Sandy Bonner said: “The east of England is an important hub for servicing our clients in the wind operations and maintenance market, and this win allows us to further invest in expanding our resources and capability.”
