Global Renewables Shipbrokers (GRS) has beefed up its services portfolio with a project investment and corporate finance arm.
The new department at the German consultancy and specialist shipbroker will focus on project financing, business transactions, due diligence, strategic analyses, restructuring and distressed situations.
Uwe Schuldt will head up the Global Renewables Invest and Finance department.
Schuldt previously worked in business development for a Hamburg-based shipping company for seven years and was senior manager for transactions at KPMG from 2000 to 2007.
GRS Offshore managing partner Matthias Mross said: “We are happy to build a unit of deal support experts, which will provide their skills to our clients in major projects such as company acquisitions, strategic repositioning as well as special situations.”
