Siemens Gamesa has received a firm order from development partners Orsted and Eversource to supply turbines to two US offshore wind farms.
The German-Spanish manufacturer will deliver 11MW units to both the 715MW Revolution Wind projects off Rhode Island and 132MW South Fork off Long Island, New York.

The latter wind farm is expected to be completed first, in 2023, while Revolution will come online in 2024, according to a Spanish stock exchange filing.
Included in the deal is delivery and installation of all 77 SG 11.0-200 machines.
Siemens Gamesa noted that a deal for the developer consortium’s 880MW Sunrise Wind project “remains conditional”.
The original notice of the award for the three US offshore wind farms was issued in 2019.
