Siemens Gamesa has contracted Manor Renewable Energy to provide a temporary power package during turbine installation at the 714MW East Anglia 1 offshore wind farm off the east coast of England.
The scope covers provision of generators, personnel and vessels during the erection of the 102 7.0-154 machines.
Manor Renewable Energy director Toby Mead said: “With our temporary power provision for (Siemens Gamesa) on the Galloper, Rentel and Beatrice projects over the last 24 months, we have gained a wealth of experience from working together and we are looking forward to continuing that relationship on the East Anglia 1 project.
“This project is key, not only to those parties involved, but to the UK offshore wind industry as a whole.”
EA1 is being developed by ScottishPower Renewables and is due online next year.
