Dong Energy has awarded Siemens a contract to deliver a SCADA network and telecommunications for the offshore substation at the 448MW Borkum Riffgrund 2 wind farm in the German North Sea.
The financial details of the deal have not been disclosed.
Siemens has previously won a contract from Dong to supply high voltage switchgear for the project’s offshore substation.
Borkum Riffgrund 2 will consist of 56 MHI Vestas 8MW turbines and is set to be fully commissioned in the first half of 2019.
