Sif Group has completed the first monopiles at its new assembly facility at Maasvlakte II in Rotterdam.
Coating of the monopiles, which are desitined for the 336MW Galloper offshore wind farm off the UK’s east coast, will start in the fourth quarter of 2016, the Dutch company said.
The first load out is set for December, Sif said.
It added that the first sections arrived at Maasvlakte II on 4 September from the Roermond factory, where the parts are being produced.
