Dutch fabricator Sif has opened a sales office in Japan as it seeks new business in the country’s nascent offshore wind market.
The unit, located in Tokyo, will be the first point of contact for developers active in the region, the company said.

The office will allow Sif to “respond swiftly and adequately” to the growing market.
Sif said it has tracked market developments since 2015 with local partner Sato Tekko and has taken the decision after the government identified 11 sites for potential development.
