Singapore-based Cyan Renewables has acquired its first service operation vessel (SOV) from DEME Offshore.
Groenewind, a purpose-built SWATH Vessel with unique capabilities for servicing offshore wind farms all year around, Cyan said.
The vessel has been chartered by Siemens Gamesa.
Keng Lin Lee, chief executive of Cyan Renewables, said: “The acquisition of Groenewind is an important milestone for Cyan.
“It marks a first but critical step towards building our portfolio of offshore wind assets, as we work towards our vision of being the catalyst for a greener tomorrow – built on sustainable, renewable energy.
“We are honoured to have Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy charter the vessel and thank them for their trust.
“As we build our portfolio to become a world-leading offshore wind vessel owner, we look forward to more collaboration with other developers.”
