UK-based Specialist Marine Consultants has completed inspection work at the substation of Orsted’s 172MW Gunfleet Sands offshore wind farm off the coast of Essex in England.
SMC said the work was carried out on behalf of the project’s OFTO, Transmission Investment and TC Gunfleet Sands OFTO.

“Our inspection and maintenance division has seen significant growth in recent years and this is an other important step as we continue to gain valuable experience in-field,” said SMC operations director Dean Coates.
Gunfleet Sands features 48 Siemens Gamesa 3.6MW turbines.
