Innogy has awarded Specialist Marine Consultants a contract to support the construction phase of its 857MW Triton Knoll wind farm off Lincolnshire in England.
SMC will provide marine coordination services for the campaign and send 30 technicians to the project to inspect, test and maintain of the project’s 90 monopile and transition piece foundations.
The company will also manage and re-certify specialist offshore personal protection equipment and inspect on vessels working at the wind farm.
SMC and Innogy said the contract could create up to 35 jobs in total.

The wind farm will start offshore construction next year feature 90 MHI Vestas 9.5MW turbines when it comes online in 2021.
