Specialist Marine Consultants (SMC) has been awarded two contracts by Orsted to carry out structural inspection above water services on foundations across the latter’s offshore wind farms in Germany and the UK.
Orsted has four operational projects in Germany and 11 in the UK, with two under construction and further developments planned, said SMC.

SMC business development manager George Moore said: “Orsted and SMC first collaborated in 2009 and we are extremely pleased to have continued building on our early successes together for over a decade now.
“Our above water inspection and maintenance division really is thriving, and this contract gives us another opportunity to demonstrate why we are considered a gold standard within this market.”
