Ingeteam is helping develop a new computer tool to calculate optimal operation and maintenance strategies for offshore wind farms.
The Poseidom project aims to reduce uncertainty related to costs during the operation of offshore wind farms, the Spanish company said.
Poseidom, which has a total budget of €643,703, is led by Ingeteam in collaboration with the Hydraulic Institute of Cantabria and marine energy company EnerOcean.
The tool will analyse meteo-oceanic conditions, transport to and from a site and safe transfer between ship and platform.
It will also compare the accessibility to parks and transfer of technical personnel between the different types of fixed and floating platforms, Ingeteam said.
