The W2Power multi-turbine floating offshore wind platform has been commissioned at the Plocan test site in the Canary Islands, according to one of the project participants Ingeteam.
Spanish company Ingeteam was responsible for the integration of wind turbines and the design of the power and control electronics system.

Spanish companies EnerOcean and Ghenova and UK outfit Tension Tech International are also involved in the project.
The platform comprises two 100kW turbines and was built at the Astican shipyard in Las Palmas, Ingeteam said.
The project weighs 40 tonnes, with the turbines installed on lateral tilting towers.
