Vattenfall will start formal pre-application consultation next week for the up to 340MW Thanet 2 offshore wind farm off the Kent coast.
The consultation will run from 27 November to 12 January.
Vattenfall will hold seven public information days during the consultation, providing an opportunity for the public to meet the development team and ask questions about the project.
The first event is on 5 December at the Royal Temple Yacht Club in Ramsgate, with the second the following day at Queens Road Baptist Church in Broadstairs.
Three more events will run on the 7, 8 and 9 December in Margate, Sandwich and Cliffsend, respectively.
The sixth meeting will be on 13 December at the Astor Theatre in Deal, with the final event at the The Botany Bay Hotel in Broadstairs on 6 January.
All the events will be between 2pm and 7pm, apart from the final meeting which will be from 10am until 4pm.
A further eight shorter ‘pop up’ events will also be held on 12, 13, 14 and 18 December and 5, 7, 8 and 9 January at various locations in the local area, including supermarkets and other shops.
Vattenfall is planning to build up to 34 turbines with capacity between 10MW and 12MW for the project.
The company plans to have Thanet 2 operational by the end of 2021.
