Steelwind Nordenham has started fabrication of foundations for WPD’s 640MW Yunlin offshore wind farm in Taiwan.
Rolling of the first can took place in July, company said.

Steelwind Nordenham is supplying 40 monopiles plus 120 steel segments for Formosa Heavy Industries.
The latter will use the segments to fabricate a further 40 monopiles at Mailiao in Taiwan to satisfy localisation requirements for the project.
Yunlin will feature Siemens Gamesa 8.4MW turbines and is expected online in December 2021.
