Tekmar bags grouting gig for 1.1GW Inch Cape

Inch Cape awards export cable contract

Tekmar Group has been awarded a grouting contract for the 1100MW Inch Cape offshore wind farm off the east coast of Scotland.

The company provides technology and services for the global offshore energy market.

For the Inch Cape project, Tekmar will deliver a specialist grouting solution for key offshore wind infrastructure.

Grouting is an integral component of subsea foundation stability, and Tekmar’s work will support the reliable installation of offshore energy assets.

The contract was awarded by Charles Brand, a civil engineering business with 190 years of complex civil engineering solutions and a principal contractor for the project’s landfall works.

Work is scheduled to commence in September 2025.

Tekmar said the award strengthens its growing track record in grouting and follows recent investments to expand its subsea structural services across the UK and international markets.

Chief executive Richard Turner said: “This contract win marks another step in our strategy to broaden Tekmar’s offshore wind service offering, particularly in grouting – an area of increasing strategic importance for the Group.

“We are delighted to be supporting Charles Brand on a nationally significant project like Inch Cape, and we look forward to safe and successful delivery later this year.”

Inch Cape offshore wind farm will feature 72 turbines sited in the North Sea, 15km off the Angus coast.

The wind farm will generate enough green energy to power the equivalent of more than half the homes in Scotland.

The project is owned by Inch Cape Offshore Wind Limited, a 50/50 equal joint venture between ESB and Red Rock Renewables.
