German grid operator TenneT has gone to market for turnkey contractors to supply and install two AC grid cable systems for projects totalling 584MW off Germany.
The grid connection systems will link Innogy’s 342MW Kaskasi project and Orsted’s 242MW Gode Wind 3 arrays to their associated HVDC substations.
The tender includes the supply of HVAC subsea cable, platform cables, fibre-optic cables, auxiliary facilities and also contains options for route clearance work.
Kaskasi will link into the HelWin beta HVDC station via two HVAC cables and is due online in 2022. Gode Wind 3 will join the DolWin kappa via a single HVAC wire and is due online between 2024 and 2025.
Interested parties have until 12 March to lodge qualification bids and TenneT will invite selected candidates to tender for the work on 27 March.
