Innogy is gearing up to begin landfall cabling works at its 860MW Triton Knoll wind farm off the Lincolnshire coast in England.
Boskalis will start installing two landfall ducts for the project’s NKT-made offshore export cable just north of Anderby Creek later this month, Innogy said.
The 900-metre long ducting tunnels will be installed beneath the local beach and sand dunes.
The work will involve a horizontal directional drilling campaign, which Boskalis has subcontracted to Volker Trenchless Solutions.
The landfall operations are due to finish in late June this year.
Innogy has arranged a community drop-in session for local residents at Anderby Hall on 20 March to provide more information about the likely impact of the work.
Offshore installation at Triton Knoll is scheduled to get underway late this year when Subsea 7 company Seaway Heavy Lifting will install the first of the projects monopile foundations, which are made by a Sif-Smulders JV.
Denmark’s NKT will install the project’s offshore export cable from the second quarter of next year.
