The British Chamber of Commerce Shanghai has set up a UK-China hub for offshore wind.
The hub, which is supported by the Department for International Trade and RenewableUK, aims to create business opportunities in China for UK companies.
“It will foster and promote bilateral trade and increase stake in the success of its members by promoting greater understanding of the UK expertise, creating deeper ties between members and the OSW industry in China, and grow people-to-people links,” the British Chamber of Commerce Shanghai said.
The Chamber offers what it calls a three-tier service based a company’s current business engagement in China or business objectives for the country over a 12-month period.
The so-called ‘bronze’ tier will create a “virtual presence” for a business in China without the set-up costs of a business in the country.
Silver provides a support service for businesses that want to explore the industry in China, while Gold offers in-territory support and development for companies.
