UK consultancy Waves Group is providing marine warranty services at Otary’s 487MW Seamade offshore wind farm off the coast of Belgium.
Waves Group said it is currently carrying out marine warranty surveyor services for the installation of foundations, infield cables, turbines, export cables and two offshore substations.
Associated work covers load outs, installations and pulling in cables to both foundations and substations, the company added.
The contract started in November 2018 and will continue through to the turbine installation phase in 2020.
Waves Group said: “We believe this contract award provides the beginning of a strong working relationship between Waves Group and the Seamade partners, and reinforces our position as leaders within the marine and offshore consultancy industry.”
Otary owns a 70% majority stake in the wind farm, with Engie Electrabel holding 17.5% and Eneco 12.5%.
Seamade will feature 58 Siemens Gamesa 8.4MW turbines and is expected to deliver first power next year.
