Offshore wind supply chain business Liberty Green Logistics has acquired Renewable Strategy Limited (RSL).
RSL is an advanced digital platform offering marine coordination software, asset monitoring, emissions tracking, personnel records tracking, Global Wind Organization training, consultancy and analytical solutions to the renewables and maritime industries.
The platform’s software has been utilised through deployment in Europe, Asia and America.
Most notably in the USA, RSL is the contracted marine coordinator for the first industrial wind farm in the US, Vineyard Wind 1.
Liberty Green Logistics chief executive Josh Shapiro said: “The acquisition of RSL demonstrates Liberty Green’s commitment to making strategic investments and acquisitions to provide supply chain solutions to the US offshore wind and maritime markets.
“This acquisition also marks Liberty Green’s first offshore wind services offering to the European and Asian regions. We are delighted to welcome RSL to the Liberty team.”
RSL’s managing director Elias Dencker added: “RSL believes we have found the perfect match in Liberty.
“The organisation’s capabilities from ship ownership, asset management, terminal operations, multimodal logistics and integrated technology investments create a pathway to accelerate RSL’s growth and customer base.
“Additionally, being a US domiciled business is an added benefit for RSL as we continue to have a strong outlook on the developing US offshore wind and marine marketplace.”
