Van Oord has selected Dutch company DHSS to provide call-off helicopter services for the Borssele 3&4 offshore wind farm off the coast of the Netherlands.
The Den Helder-based outfit will provide the service during construction of the Blauwwind consortium’s project.
“This call off helicopter contract for Van Oord at Borssele 3&4, shows that we are a trusted partner for a major client when it comes to air transfers for crew and cargo,” said DHSS chief executive Wim Schouwenaar.
“With our expertise as Helicopter Service provider, together with knowledge and in-depth know how of Ships Agency services in the Offshore Energy business for a very long time, we fully understand our clients mandatory needs.”
Van Oord vessel Aeolus has started work in the array area.
The wind farm, which will feature MHI Vestas 9.5MW turbines, is due online next year.
